Patients seeking geriatric psychological care or behavioral health services can find the help they need at Simpson General. Our programs feature individuated care in a warm, supportive atmosphere. Our professional team provides a free consultation to evaluate the patient’s behavioral and mental changes. In addition, we check for medical issues that might be contributing to the situation. We then make a determination on which level of care will benefit the patient most.
Simpson General offers an Intensive Outpatient Program and a Partial Hospitalization Program to help senior citizens who are dealing with depression, anxiety, mental illness, delusions, sleeplessness, suicidal thoughts, and more. The Intensive Outpatient Program provides services to patients who require fewer than 12 hours of therapy per week. This treatment can include group, individual, and family therapy. The Partial Hospitalization Program offers all the intensity of acute inpatient care without the patient actually having to stay in a hospital. Therapy is provided each day, and patients are then allowed to return to their home or community living center for the evening. This treatment includes psychiatric evaluation and treatment, stress management, and goal setting.
Our teams are made up of psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses who work together to formulate the best treatment plan for each patient. Transportation is available. To make referrals or get more information, call 601.847.7129.
